Visa Rules

Featured Replies

The word on the streets is there are changes to Visa rules, these changes are supposedly going to be enforced as of January 2011.

Any foreigner wishing to enter Thailand on a Tourist visa may stay in the country no longer than 270 days in any 12 month period.

Any foreigner entering Thailand on a non immigrant multiple 'B' visa must show work permit on entry. When exiting Thailand they will be required to submit a tax clearance certificate.

Any foreigner entering Thailand on a non immigrant 'O' visa must show proof of A copy of bank statement showing not less than 800,000 Baht or an income certificate with a monthly income of over 65,000 Baht, or a combination of income and savings totaling more than 800,000 baht.

Any foreigner entering with no visa, may do so only 6 times in any 12 month period.

A police clearance certificate will be required for application of any non immigrant visa.

"word on the street"? Is there any back up to these claims?

do you have a link to this?

That is Hongkong rules.

If those are new rules and if they are enforced, TAT will not meet their target for 2011.

Some of this is hard, nay impossible, to believe. So you enter Thailand on an O visa and the agents check your bank/income statements? I don't think so.

I will go further. Perhaps there is some truth behind the OP, but why even leave it open until we hear OFFICIAL confirmation?

Has this something to do with upcoming Halloween. Cause its Horror for the most, too.

"The word on the streets" ....

any comment would be superfluous!

I find this hard to believe...

Until it becomes anything other than rumour and gossip this is CLOSED.
