Are you born so funny or did you go some school to learn it??

Just try to help...

Unless you have a particular reason for wanting to ride the bus, the Sky Train would be quicker and easier.

I deal with tourists and I am asked about the buses a lot as some enjoy the bus over the BTS.

Bus 10 ฿ ฺBTS 35 ฿

LOL

info not for me. I deal with tourists and I am asked about the buses a lot as some enjoy the bus over the BTS.

Wow, some tourists must really like to make their live a misery?

You can actually see the city when you travel on the BTS, so what possible reason could there be to enjoy taking decrepit, cramped buses?

Also, when you exit the Kamphoeng Phet MRT station, you're right into the market.

Maybe the tourist knew about the free bus provided by Thai tax payer. Free bus have a blue banner in front, widely available across Bangkok.

Buses are generally ok once in a while, it could be pretty adventurous. However the thrill of traveling on a bus wouldn't last long. If your a tourist in Thailand its generally safer not to go on buses, you can get mugged on buses. I've seen it before. especially when you don't speak any Thai.

Besides its also worth conidering your destination. using teh BTS to Asoke and transfering over to the MRT which takes you directly to chatuchak market will get you there faster and will save you energy. When you get into chatuchak market it'll be super hot and crowded like your on a bus ride. so save your energy and go and spend it there. Its a big market, there is alot to explore there.

I agree but with the buses you can see the shops and food stalls etc and it's easy and inexpensive to jump on and off and explore these new areas, especially China Town. That's why I use them sometimes as well as the BTS.

I usually jump on the 38 from Bang Na - It does a right at Asok though and up Petchiburi road onto Victory monument. On a sunday its a great journey with little traffic. On a saturady it could be a drag.

I've only just tried the buses here 1st time in 10 years! I enjoy it and have found many great shops and street food due to being ground level. Again Many thanks

No worries. I discovered the buses due to a job that took me all over Bangkok beyond the grasp of the MRT and BTS. Was also feeling the credit pinch!

Never looked back mate, met some really interesting people, worked out how the majority of the city roads work.

I don't think theres a better way to get to know the city and it's people than ground level.
