I did that before, approaching the Immigration officer and telling him, I do not want to use a T-Visa in my Passport for a short (less than a month) Stopover in TH.

They usualy let me sign some papers, that that is my free will and was ok.

This time, even shorter, only 5 or 6 hours at Suvarnabhumi.

But traveling on Air Asia and Cebu Pacific, I think I have to pass the Immigration and make a new Check In.

With the always changing laws and possibilitys, restrictions, is the above still possible. Thanks for advice.

Current policy seems to be that a valid visa must be used for entry if it is noted but reports have been for less than 30 day entry rather than a plane change.
