Nangyuan Island Koh Tao

Featured Replies

I want to go to Nangyuan Island for a couple of weeks on my next visit back to Thaiand, i am looking for info on how to get there from BKK and Luggage allowances.Info on accomadation,as i have read on forums that there is problems with the power supplys to the island in particular, this being the main concern as electricity is needed for my hobby, also an accomadation which will allow the erection of an portable antennae, amateur radio operating is the hobby and yes i do have the license

Stay on Tao and just go to Nanguan for the day if you must. The accommodation is outdated and expensive for what it is. It is sold as a 5 star resort and maybe 10-15 years ago it was. Also if staying there you are limited to 1 restaurant bar and that again is expensive and mediocre. Also some place on Tao will not mind you throwing up an Ariel but no chance on Naguan. Save your money

Two weeks in Koh Nang Yuan can drive you crazy also if you love snorkelling and diving.

I personally loved the island. Nothing to do...but it is sure beautiful. We were there in the off season and pretty much had the place to ourselves (2 couples). Sunsets every day, lounging on the beach, etc. Only 1 restaurant...it is fair, and expensive. Way more things to do on Koh Tao. Like mentioned above, maybe 2-3 nights on Nang Yuan and the rest on Tao? You will for sure be bored stiff on Nang Yuan after 2 weeks.

Or stay on Koh Tao first, 10 - 12 days then go to Nang Yuan for relaxing your life ..
