Zen
Hi, I was wondering how does the Thai Post calculate postage for bulky but light items? I may have to send some items to my customer to Phuket and the box is about 69x64x36cm cm but weighs only 1.5kg. I checked the website of the post office and found that it's very cheap to send but I was wondering if they will use volumatric weight? Any one got experience sending bulky items to other provinces? opalhort
The post office does not charge by volume but there is a limit to size. I think it is L x 2W x 2H = not over 2m, in which case your box will be too big. But check with the website again, they should have the info there somewhere. opalhort
opalhort
Sorry, I made a mistake: it should be L + 2W + 2H =2m But this info is old, so please call your post office and ask. Most countries allow 3m and only a few including USA limit it to 2m. opalhort
BigBikeBKK
Oversized items can be sent via Logispost. Logispost rates are very cheap but recommend you purchase insurance if the item you're shipping is fragile or valuable, otherwise the Logispost limit of liability is 2000 baht.
