Gov'T Forces Fast Food Joints To Serve Water (Free)

Featured Replies

The newspaper which shall not be named ran a story today concerning clip joints like Mickey Dees. It seems the ministers & hacks on the public payroll feel that plain cool tap water shall be available at fast food places.

That other newspaper - or Brand X as I like to call it might also be covering thye story.

So today I happened to be in Mickey Dees for lunch & when I finished my COKE I asked some of the staff if they had "Naam Yen" - yessir they had a great big pitcher of it.

The scam was that for many years the fast food places always kept lots of jugs of iced water on hand.

Specially A&W if I remember correctly.

Then Mickey Dees & others figured out they could sell a 7 baht bottle of water for 15 baht.

If you own as many airplanes as Barack Obama you can still buy water. I - being blue collar - will happily drink the free stuff.

I love free market capitalism. OLE'

Barack Obama owns airplanes? Whats he have to do with free water in restaurants in Thailand?

Maybe this (Courtesy The Nation 04/03/2009):

"LondonPrime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has invited US President Barack Obama to visit Thailand before or after his trip to Singapore in October. "

... but when he flies his multiple airplanes over here BHO will have to pay for his own mineral water.

(Sorry ... bold locked up)

They are not his they belong to the US Government and accompany all US Presidents on travel.

Really? ... I thought he gets to keep the 747s as souvenirs.

There seems to be some confusion about what is allowed or not. Regarding the Bangkok Post, you can name it but for legal reasons you cannot quote from or link to their articles.

When in doubt, check our forum rules.

Free water at fast food outlets, they'll never get the students out now! :)
