There are couple of hotels at the far end of the bar soi in Karon, near the Centara and opposite the Irish pub.

Is one of them the Welcome Inn? and what is the name of the other?

If not, what are their names?

i recommend you rattana beach hotel, very nice, cheap are more confortable to the guesthouse for few baths more :)
