sumrit
Looks like it'll cost another £100+ on top of the settlement visa cost to bring our spouses to the UK in the future. For anybody nearly ready to apply you've just over thirteen weeks to get the application in.

theoldgit
TVE thanks for the update on this. I imagine that The British Council will be one of the first to offer this service. When my girlfriend studied English she initially had to complete their in-house test to assess her current level of English, that cost her in the region of 500 Baht. However as the new requirement is for a formal test they will probably offer something along the line of IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, which I think costs in the region of 5,900 Baht, that doesn't include tuition but I believe does include so many hours of on-line self help.
