August 26, 201015 yr I suggest you rent a car or a bike and wander round the varous areas looking for signs saying For Rent. Do you have a Thai friend who can help you with the language barrier? Many locals will not be dealing with agents. If you can give us details of the size of house you want, and budget, other members may be able to guide you.
August 26, 201015 yr Author hi astral thanks for your reply, we intend to get a car and drive around, was hoping for estate agents to get some feel of property sizes and inside layout with rent costs to get any idea of size/area/cost ratios we are thinking around the kathu area or poss patong not have any thai friends to ask yet, but do know that a lot of rent without agents. this is more fact finding at the moment we would prefer at least 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms would be nice, a bungalow if possible, garden(have a dog we are taking) off road parking, fully furnished, western kitchen(with oven) those are our main requirements looking at a budget around 20,000 baht a month
