Are foreigners allowed to own guns? Is anybody? I'd love to do some target shooting and would be even more fun if I could have my own gun to bring along. I've read a few posts with jokes about "keeping a pistol under your pillow for security." Not sure if they're just jokes or if it's actually possible to own one. I don't want one unless it's possible to own it legally. I'm not looking for anything weird. Just wondering.

I've been with friends before who have had their own guns. But, as I understand it, you could also go to the shooting ranges and hire one of their guns.

Yeah, renting one at the shooting range is not a problem. It would be nice to have my own, though.

You can anything in Thailand if you have the correct connections and the correct price, that does not make it legal.

I had a falang friend that bought one thru his girlfriend (she is a cop).

He use to go to the local range and military range all the time with it without problems.

Not sure what would have happend to him if he had used it in a self-defense situation.

I want one too (and sure miss Texas!).

Should be ok as long as they are with you….from the link provided above:

It is common for members of our shooting club (Local and Foreign Nationals) to enter contests shooting the weapons of other members including but not limited to their spouses both male and female. All our events and training is attended by Police and much of it is done at the Police Training Facility, all laws are taken into consideration and respected. I do not appreciate the way some are speaking as if this is some shady group of lawbreakers involved with breaking laws as it is not, we are 100% legal!

I am a member of our local gun club, in fact most of the long stay expats are.

The club is owned and run by the police, we can purchase a fire-arm, but not in our own name, and it can never be taken out of the club...... as it's illegal.
