I think there's a place behind Carrefour.

If you come out of the rear exit (carpark) it's on one of the roads that lead down to the road where the german Brewery is.

sorry I can't be more precise but I've noticed it's there but never really paid much attention to be honest.

Koncept on the Superhighway, a km or so after Carrefour has about 8 different wooden-looking beds (think it might just be very good immitation wood) from 8 - 12000 baht. I was just a bit dubiious about their strength when looking underneath.

I can in Den Chai all day long. 3 hours south of Chiang Mai on highway 11. Beautiful solid wood furniture. King size bed 10,000 baht bring to Chiang Mai and it sells for 30,000 baht.

Sounds like IS... the Indian place? Bit expensive and you get chased around. Picked one up from Index on 50% (and they defo have the best choice of top-end mattresses there Mr TP ). Couple a cheaper places worth checking out: the furniture warehouse between Index and Makro and another at the junction of Rattanakosin and Atsadathon - the junction just north of the northeast moat corner on the way to Khamtiang. Both places no aircon so go early. Picked up some kit from the latter and they have a decent range and fair prices. I take it you've done SB and Koncept etc... there's a new one just opened on the Super headed to Lampang.

Yes Bann Tawai is the obvious I guess - but this particualr condo is quite modern - so regret the beautiful Baan Tawai style won't fit

Tried the obvious: SB, Index, Koncept (which looks quite cheap in my view) - but can't quite find 'the' bed I'm looking for - I like Index and Winner etc. but they look a little cheap - Index had one I liked but only in King Size and I need two Queen size.
