Tonys is renting Rooms at 3. Rd. left hand side after the crossing from Pattaya Tai with 3. Rd. going towards Tappraya Rd. They are less then 400 Baht, don`t know how nice they are thought.

Jolly's Hotel Soi Bua Khao

I've read that it is around 500 baht per night for a week's stay.

Thanks for the suggestions I will have a look. Had been looking for Tonys heard itn was OK but told it was in 2nd road!

Try the new place( "Coffee & Beer") on South Pattaya Road next to the Bank of Ayudhya, two steps from Friendship.

Apex Hotel on Second Road is not far from where you are now, and they used to do basic rooms for 350-400 Baht/night. I haven't checked their prices in many years, though, so they may be a bit pricier now. Could be worth a look.

On Pattaya 2nd Road next to TIMS bar you can get rooms for 200 baht per night with a fan. Just look for the big blackboard and coloured chalk advert.
