Bangkok will certainly have such things -- there is a big beauty salon supply store on Petchburi road, down from Pratunam (if you come off the skytrain and go towards petchburi road, turn right its on the other side of the street down about 3 blocks) that might have what you are looking for.

hi stonechild, old thread but I am pretty sure the shop is still there. Not sure of the name but it could be J& B- you can't miss it. Go past the Big C, and turn right opposite Pratunam Center, walk a few blocks, and the beauty salon supply shop is on the same side as Pratunam.
