Tigs
Perhaps the Mods could make this a sticky until 1pm tomorrow or transfer it as a sticky on to the news forum. The Thai authorities are holding a Tsunami Warning and Evacuation Drill for the six Andaman coastal provinces in Thailand on Monday 13 September. They aim to test the warning signals located in Phuket, Ranong, Phang Nga, Krabi, Trang and Satun and the 'community evacuation' in those provinces. Quite what 'community evacuation' means I don't know. I am informed it is going to be around 9.30am although it is not clear yet. It does not seem to have been to well publicised and obviously the experience of being in a costal location and hearing the warning go off could be a little traumatic for some, especially if you are with family and kids.
