Dog Trainer In Bangkok?

I have the same problem, and I just posted a "give-up" message about getting my dog trained just to behave...

I cannot recommend any place, but I can recommend that you DO NOT send him to Pet Oasis in Nonthaburi. I wasted nearly 20K for a 2-month training course there and my dog came back the same if not worst...

Besides that I have heard about one place in Bangna, behind Central Bangna shopping mall. I think they are long-time established and I wish I had tried that place instead of the Pet Oasis...

Good luck!

First off they need to be snipped (spayed or neutered) if they aren't already and secondly the owner needs as much training as the pets.

Not knowing any of you personally that's not intended to be a jab it's a fact that most pets poor habits and behavior is as much due to the handler as the pet so both of you should be trained together as a team not as separate pieces of a different puzzle...

I've just replied to that other thread too and fully agree with WarpSpeed, training MUST be undergone together. Can't stress that strongly enough. Pet Oasis will probably still be able to control your dog perfectly, it's just that he knows he can take the piss out of you; they're not stupid you know?

Not sure about the neutering bit though, couldn't bring myself to do it to another male!

Best Trainer I know in Thailand (Bangkok area) is Patrick Bundock. His approach is to train YOU to be your dog's "pack leader". As said by others, you will not succeed by dropping your dog off somewhere, the way you take your car for a tune-up. PM me if you'd like contact info.

Hallo, Sawadee kha,

I found your topic accidental during searching something in the Internet.

I have a dog school in Germany and I want to travel with my colleague to Thailand in the end of November. We think about arranging a speech event (don't know, if it's the right word)about natural and relaxed dog education near bangkok or some lessons for interested people there. We both done a long education in the school of Jan Nijboer and we have to go twice a year to further educations, that the quality standard is ensured.

We show the dog leaders to understand their dog and work with the causes of the problematical behavior of the dog. The most problems between dog and dog leader are misunderstandings and frustrated needs of the dog. One of the needs is very simple - basic safety.Aggressive behavior is caused of deprivation of this basic safety. Territorial also as social or apply to belongings. You see it also between people. If you are relaxed and confident you have no must for aggression. Our trip is not yet full organized, but we booked the flights already. So it would be possible to make a workshop one day with round about 4 till 8 dog / human teams.

So if somebody is interested, don't hesitate to contact me. For getting some informations about our work, please look at our homepage rheinische-hundeschule.de

It's only in German, but I'm sure, that you can see the way we work. Respect and empathy for the dog and the humans we take for granted.

Looking forward getting a response.

We would be glad if we could escort you and your dogs in Bangkok.

greetins from rainy Germany

I'll vouch for Patrick. His tips and training advice have completely changed my dog! Dog was very aggressive and possessive --Couldn't touch his food or toys and I even got bit once for getting in his way. Less than a month later and the changes are incredible! Still a long way to go but he's a completely different dog.

Also, dog needs to be fixed if he isn't.
