September 15, 201015 yr Well, the date is fast approaching. Patsy is off to see Guns n Roses tomorrow night (Thursday). I haven't been to a concert since two years ago when I saw REM. So, I am quite looking forward to this. But the bad press is sort of annoying. Shall he turn up or just think "Shit, Switzerland where the fuc_k is that?". And knowing the Swiss, they shall sit there and sit there waiting. Looking at their watches!! And checking their bus timetables!! Anyway, shall report back later!!
September 15, 201015 yr HA! love it...just listening to Sweet Child of Mine on my nifty new telephone... reminds me of my present wife when she was my wild love...
September 15, 201015 yr Author This is how he was in France a few days ago, the voice is still there. So I can only hope...
September 16, 201015 yr Author Shall do. My friend has a new fangled sort of phone camera thingy. I shall remind him to bring it. Just now, getting my hip swave right!! (Not really, having the hangover cure of strong coffee)!!! November Rain, who some of you may remember, was supposed to come over from England for this concert but she had to cancel due to family things and stuff. Edited September 16, 201015 yr by Patsycat
September 17, 201015 yr Author IT WAS AWESOME!!! My ears are still ringing. Axl was only 30 minutes late and put on the show of shows. Lights, sound and big booming fireworks. The place was packed and good vibes all around. We didn't get home until around 1 am. I have some photos, which are not too good. Shall try and post them. They did all the usual songs plus some new ones. My god, that man screams!!!
September 19, 201015 yr Author http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9ZsJzS0pJ4 This was the only decent vid i could find from Geneva. But as you can see, the guy is not fat. He is pretty fit. And from what i could see on the big screens he has rather nice thighs.Anyway, would recommend this World Tour to everyone.
September 19, 201015 yr Glad you enjoyed your AXL ROSE concert but I am afraid the REAL Guns N Roses split in 1996 One man don't make Guns N Roses which is why they have done nothing since The real Magic that was there departed when they split. Axl thought he could do it on his own but he was only one part of a fantastic group. Just my 2 cents worth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9ZsJzS0pJ4 This was the only decent vid i could find from Geneva. But as you can see, the guy is not fat. He is pretty fit. And from what i could see on the big screens he has rather nice thighs. Anyway, would recommend this World Tour to everyone.
September 19, 201015 yr Author The new guitarist is very good, as are the rest of the band. Don't burst my bubble!!!
September 20, 201015 yr It is a shame Axl is using the Guns N' Roses name. It really isn't GN'R any more. Axl only 30 mins late? You were lucky Patsy Slash is doing the rounds with his solo material at the moment and playing better than ever. Axl just isn't as good without the Slash sound backing him up. It is a shame they wont be working together again.
September 20, 201015 yr Author OK I went to an Axl concert, with his new band - who are great. Were you there? Satisfied? Jeez!!! I enjoyed it, and I am sure all of you bla bla bla people would have too. I hear Slash didn't even turn up in Bangkok a few months ago?!!! How's that for being late... I had a jolly old time and so did the other people there. It was sold out. Why should i have to excuse myself because I loved a concert? And posted on here that i was going and people asked how it was. I can tell you, Slash in that band is a figment of the past. The new guitarist is great. Edited September 20, 201015 yr by Patsycat
September 20, 201015 yr Oh Dear Patsy....didn't mean to get you riled up. I truly hope you enjoyed the concert. Just mention of Axl tends to open up a can of worms.]]I'm sure the new guitarist of the Axl band is great but few can live up to Slash. Don't take it personally - From what I read none of the comments were a personal affront to you or your right to enjoy a concert. Alright time for a singalong. All together now.... Where do we go Where do we go now Where do we go Sweet child o' mine Ooh ooh oh Where do we go Where do we go now Where do we go Sweet child o' mi-ii-iii-iii-i-nnne :jap:
September 21, 201015 yr I can tell you, Slash in that band is a figment of the past. So are Guns N Roses
September 22, 201015 yr Slash was never down to do a concert in Bangkok, so he was neither early nor late I agree with the sentiments of the other posters, its just not G'n'R anymore, a friend of mine in the UK went to see Axl playing and said it was total cr@p, a complete let down and a waste of time... everyone's mileage differs i guess. Axl is a total knob, much like those oasis boys, feels he *is* the band, got an attitude that simply stinks... the only saving grace is he used to have an awesome voice, i dont know about any of his more recent stuff as i stopped following them after the break up. Glad you enjoyed the concert though
September 26, 201015 yr Slash was never down to do a concert in Bangkok, so he was neither early nor late Apart from the one scheduled for 31 July 2010 that is. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/383053-slash-of-guns-n-roses-live-in-bangkok/ Still got memories of seeing GnR at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at Wembley all those years ago.
