I love this rule: "The law also requires that you carry a photocopy of the registration book when driving a motor vehicle, and show it to a competent police officer upon request".

So how do we decide if the officer is competent? Is there a test we have to give them!

the idea of keeping a photocopy of the registration book is: after the car thieve stole your car/bike, he knows who to call to allow him/her a chance to buy it back (lower price), before they goes to pieces (lower price)
