Not really. He will be cared for in prison and he will be guaranteed a level of care that will exceed that which elderly people who were in similar circumstances (without family and destitute) would not receive. At his age and with his health state , it doesn't matter if he is in prison or not because he would be room bound anyway. He would be sitting in bed watching the telly either way. In prison he will get 3 meals a day, orderlies, clean sheets, medical attention and companionship from the other nonces.
