Tourist Visa Fee Waived?

So much for free tourist visa until March 2011. I recently obtained one in Birmingham,UK, and the visa fee was waived, but an administration fee was levied in its place. For a double tourist visa, the normal visa fee applied to each visa, ie 56 GBP for the 2.( I dont have a GBP sign on my keyboard.)

Just got my 60 day double entry tourist visa a few days ago from the Thai Embassy Los Angeles, fee waved. Only paid for express mail each direction.

That is GREAT news! I'm applying for my tourist visa (sounds like the same kind as yours) from LA. There is a message on their website saying that the tourist visa charge is waived through March of 2011. I was concerned about not putting a money order in the Express Mail envelope just in case.

How long did it take you to get it?
