Check what models they can refill the paint cartridges.

New paint cartridges cost half the printer prize.

I have a HP deskjet F4185 that I'm happy with.

I have a printer store nearby that refills the cartridges for 100 baht each.

New cartridges costs 850 baht.

Having had a number of different makes during the last twenty years in Thailand, now I only go for Epson.

Just bought a TX700W, simply beautiful what it can do.l

Jump over to the TI plaza in Phitsanulok they have every sort of printer scanner. The place is not huge but five floors of stuff. Right downtown across from the police station. They can put a tank system on it as well. Many different shops.

Just bought a Canon wireless printer MP648 for 6000 baht at Panthip . Its a fast reliable printer with scan/copy functions. And cheaper to buy ink for it than most printers.

Its great for home networks if you want to share the printer.

once i went to a color laser i wouldn't go back to an inkjet.

a laser printer can sit pretty much indefinately and it will still work. Inkjets need to be used or else the ink will clog and the nozzles will also clog.

Agree ^^^ particularly if colour is not important get a low cost laser.

Samsung do some very usable machines at affordable prices.

For about 2k believe the Canon MP250 is an excellent value and both scanner/printer are very good qualify considering the very low price; and the software is also good.
