Green 8
Hey guys, can anyone give me an update for obtaining a DoubleT in PP for Oct(21th), 2010? Also I have heard that the italian guy who does the run to Vientiane (from onnut) can get you a 1 year non-im multiple entry, can anyone please PM me on that possibility and cost of that? Thx. SunSeek01 38
I went to Poi Pet from Pattaya around Aug 20. Was only supposed to stay one night but had to stay two (at agency expense, not mine). Got the 2 entry. Service was great, ended up winning 3000 at the casino on the extra night. Total cost (not counting the 3000 I won) was 7500. Included 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners. Now on October 20 I can get the 30 day extension, then after the 30, back to CBDia (or more probably Vietnam) for the 2nd 60 days and then another 30 after that. I'm in bkk, so no point going to pataya to do that trip. Was planning on flying to PP to get the double, does anyone have reports on that route? Would prefer getting a 1 year multiple though. Mario2008 3566
There is no 1 year multiple entry non-immigrant visa for tourists. These are only given for a specific reason, such as marriage to a Thai or working and most consulates in Asia only issue single entry non-im. visas. Mario2008 3566
Getting the paperwork involves registering at a school, which provides you with the necessary paperwork.

I am sure that the ON NUT Service or any other VisaRun Service can not get you a Year Visa in Vientanine or in Cambodia.
Green 8
I'm going to Phnom Penh around the 20th this month for a double tourist. Can anyone give me the way to do this trip? Will arrive tuesday, go Phnom Penh Royal Thai Embassy on Wed morning, Pickup Thursday afternoon, and leave friday. How to get from airport to town, cost. Where to stay, cost of rooms. How to get to the embassy and how easy is it to do all this? First time. Thanks! Edited October 2, 2010 by Green

Can it be done? I'm guess the embassy in Phnom Phen isn't as congested as Vientianne?
lopburi3 13039
You had best be sure a two entry is even available and check the timing as PP may not provide next day service from my understanding. Vientiane is not crowded from most reports recently.
phuketrichard 4067
embassy tells u two days in PP. so u wont do it in one, so drop off weds and pick up friday You do pick it up in afternoon so can make the air asia flight back the same day Flamingo hotel (across from Walkabout on street 51) charges $25/night and breakfast and will pick u up at the airport ( saves you $7) 20% discount now thru Oct 31 and Girl friendly :-) Embassy is easy to get to; moto will run ya $1.00 or tuk tuk $2 AS far as the ed visa goes u need to sign up with a school and they give you all the paperwork. there are many runing the 1 year course for around $25,000 baht, ( bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket). Then u can get a 1 year visa. Only go to class about 4 hours a week Edited October 3, 2010 by phuketrichard

Mario can get doubles through his 1 day visa trip from onnut, and had seen elsewhere that doubles are now available. Anyone can verify this stuff? Thanks! NoBSBoy 0
Solely out of curiosity, I ask the following and, please, if you do not have first hand info, no need to reply: DO THE consulates anywhere, Asia, Australia, America, etc., have and use computers linked back to Thailand to verify various types of info, or if all the docs are in order, the visa gets issued? It eats cards and it will take you overnight to get it back.
Green 8
Ah ok will probably use Flamingo then. But what is the 2 day for visa thing? Can anyone verify the 2 day wait? So deposit PP tues morning and will get it back thursday afternoon? (after 1pm?). Thats a rotten snag.

AFIK every Consulate in Asia uses the drop off in the morning day 1 and pick up in the afternoon the next day process. A same day turn around can be arranged in Vientiane, and PP I think, for a price. Normally 3-5k baht depending on how busy they are and your bargaining skills. I've never tried this because I'm never in that big a hurry. cr
