bkkjames 3817
Not sure I would want the 'cheapest' lobster available. Anyways, if you know where Pantip market is on petchburi, just before there near the intersection close to platinum mall there used to be some lobster/seafood restaurants on the street. afarang 12
Lobsters are sea dwellers, Chiang Mai is a day or so from the sea,so the freight cost is quite large. Hence lobster will be expensive in C.M. They also require refrigeration on their journey, adding to the cost. Maybe they are air-freighted, adding more to the cost. steelepulse 5833
The best lobsters come from cold water. Down here in Phuket about all you can get are the tiny little "Phuket lobsters" and they're not cheap!

Ah one of the problems with not visiting the PP for pirate software and dvd's, being a bit out of date. James, those places have been gone for at least 3 years if not longer. bkkjames 3817
Thanks rgs for the update. The last time I was down that way got my wallet knicked and needless to say I haven't been back.
Moonrakers 172
I'm with James on this one. Lobster doesn't have a particularly strong flavour and can be quite bland if not cooked properly. You are better off spending a bit more or sticking with Shrimp.
asiawatcher 1689
Buy it off the pier at Sattahip. By the box load with ice. Prices are very reasonable.
