City Hall Suspends Budget

PATTAYA: -- On Tuesday morning, at Pattaya City Hall, The Deputy Mayor Wuttisak Lerm-git-ja-garn told reporters that at this moment, Pattaya City Hall has just passed the closing time for budget considerations and it would not be considering any new plans until after high season, which will be next year.

However, should there be any emergencies in the city, City Hall is ready to use emergency funds to assist people.

Pattaya City Hall can ensure its people that there will also be help from private sectors and all associates of city hall in all emergencies.

Business operations in the city will have to be patient during this time of slow economic growth until the high season and the city hall will do as much as possible to help come up with plans to boost the well being of the city.

So this bit of pointless nonsense says:

We have no more money for any new plans until after high season. Except in emergencies.

If there are any emergencies we have some money, but even better, we can “assure” our people that there will be help from “private sectors” and “all associates of City Hall” in “all emergencies”.

Associates and private sectors are not employees, so have they subcontracted emergency assistance now?

But the good news is that they will still do as much as possible to “help” come up with plans to boost the well being of the city.

Phew. Perhaps that last paragraph is intended to weakly reassure inhabitants that City Hall is there for other things than just inexpertly devising and incompetently overseeing infrastructure projects and lining their own pockets. They are going to actually HELP come up with plans to boost the well being of the city, which is very kind of them.

I’m sure everyone will feel reassured by this major announcement.

Maybe it was useful to point out the projects on which the budget has been spent.I aaume that gonna be a easily to compile list as it will be very short.

To say more I haven't seen anything realised from the promises the current Mayor made for his election. The roads have never been as bad as they are currently, and then I'm talking about the city center roads, not yet about those out of the city.

A lot of wind from his side indeed but I don't think windenergy was on the program.

But look. Fantastic news just in on the "boosting the wellbeing of the city" front:

For those of you who think you’re pretty handy with a pool cue, get ready for the world-class 9-Ball Tournament to be held from October 1st through the 3rd at the Royal Garden Plaza. A press conference was held on Wednesday afternoon at the shopping plaza to announce the 2010 competition. Navy Capt. Somporn Nak-seu-trong will oversee the tournament as President. Pattaya City Hall co-sponsored the press event, dubbing Pattaya the “City of Pool” and promoting it as another draw for tourists.
