Greenpeace On Samui

Just to pass it on, Rainbow Warrior will be in Nathon on Saturday morning.

There well be a meeting in the dockside outside the old customs house/new peer with Greenpeace reps and the Mayor of Samui plus reps of the Thai Hotels Association and others. There are more schools being inaugurated into Samui's hotel-school adoption scheme later in the day and on Sunday, but I don't know what the schedule will be or if Greepeace reps are further involved.

I went down to take some pictures of the ship and have to say I was a little disappointed. It looks like and old trawler that has had 3 masts stuck to the deck from where I was looking. I remember going down to the Marina in Hartlepool a few times that the tall ships race called in and when the replica of captain Cooks ship was there. They were fantastic to look at it it must have taken a lot of courage to set sail in one of those never knowing where you were going to end up or ever return. The days of real men. ;)
