Thai First Aid Course

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I am hoping to pick your brains a bit please.

I have a young son (soon to be 2) and I have a nanny starting work at the beginning of October to take care of him whilst I am at work. I would like the Thai nanny to attend a basic first aid course so that if there are any problems she will know what to do.

I have done a google search but they appear to be quite in depth and upwards of 6,000B. Does anyone know of or have experience of a basic one day course that will teach her the essentials?

Many thanks for any replies!

Kind regards

Laura

You can go to any PADI Dive Shop. They teach EFR and there is a Course "care for Children". Its not dive related. Manuals are in English, however there are some Thai Instructors in Pattaya.

Hi CHDiver,

Thanks for that response. I didn't think of dive shops. Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks

Laura

You may Aslo find that some of the Hospitals like Bangkok Hospital may run courses. They have run courses for our company for First Aid and Basic Life Support. Might be worth an ask.

Thanks Ian for the mention.

Yes, EFR is an accredited first aid / CPR / AED Course.

There also is an optional module (1,000 baht extra plus one more book) that teaches Care for Children. The Children part covers the same material, but obviously offers alternative ways to give CPR, etc. to small bodies.

The course is here:

You can PM me if you want more info or contact us through the site.
