I am gonna be coming to visit soon, and I wanna bring about 5 DVD's to watch with my friends. Will there be any problems with that? Also what about copied music CD's? All are seperate albums and I only have about 6-8 I wanna bring. Nothing is multiple copys of the same thing...

From experience there is very little customs checking of falang coming on holiday.

I've entered dozens of times in the last 24 years and always walked through "nothing to declare".

And even if they checked, I think they couldn't give a shit about copy DVD disks.

If you arrive at the airport and you aren't carrying copy DVDs and music then the Customs Department will take you down to Panthip Plaza and won't let you out until you've filled your suitcase with copies.

If you put your movies on a portable hard drive you are fairly safe. I brought over close to 250 gigs of music & movies. They have virtually no way to tell if it is copied from your original or a copy from someone else. If you are concerned get true crypt or another data program that masks your space in your hard drive. It takes up to 3 months top break the pass code & most customs could care less ..Unless they have been tipped of that you ate doing something illegal.

I don't even bring all my medications. The last thing anyone wants while traveling is a run in with the law. Better safe than sorry.
