Hi Guys,

I'm hoping for my girlfriends Fiancee Visa to be sucessfull in the 1 or 2 weeks. If the application is sucessfull, it is our intention to marry pretty much straight away over here. After which she can apply for FLR, my question is will she have to the language test to get FLR?

No, the new language test which comes into effect in November has to be taken before the initial application. If she has already submitted her application this wont affect her.

The existing, harder, life and language requirement has to be satisfied before she can apply for ILR; that is 2 years after she receives FLR.
