Thai Government Organizations Flouting Thai Law

Recommended Posts

To all posters on this board who believe that the gates of Heaven should be permanently barred to those farang who presume to thumb their noses at Thai law and dare to work illegally without a work permit, what is your reaction to Thai government organizations which not only connive at breaking the law, but brazenly refuse to allow an employee to comply with it?

From another thread currently on this board:-

Dear applicants,

.

We are sorry to say that we don’t have any experience about visa or work permit .We cannot provide those for you if you ask for.

This was part of an email recently sent out by a Thai government school to applicants for a teaching post. This is by no means an isolated case (see the Work Permits thread below). Perhaps the only redeeming factor here is that at least they are being upfront with the fact that they have no intention of providing a work permit or any assistance in getting one. Most places just lie, procrastinate, and make false promises.
