I was hoping that somebody has the right information.

I have to make a visa trip (again) to apply for a non imm. B visa.

Usually I go to Phnom Penn but I want to see something new.

I planning to fly to Udon Thani and grab a taxi/bus/train to Nong Khai,and cross the border,and go to Vientiane.

My question is : Does anybody know how long the procedure takes in Laos?I need to know that for booking a return ticket,and how much money I have to bring.

In Cambodia it s usually 3 days,but you can speed up the process by paying a little bit extra.

Is this the same in Laos?

Submit in the morning, and pick up the next day in the afternoon. There are several threads already about the process and other informatiion about hotels, restaurants, etc.

Read my report here, explains the full process by bus from Pattaya. I know a little different to your plans but the key details are the same.

Just got back yesterday after doing the trip again and its still all the same, except I spent less on taxi's because I was more aware of the genuine prices.
