Moving From Pattaya To Pukhet, How To Get Tr Visa?

Featured Replies

in a few weeks I am moving to pukhet from pattaya. what is the best way to get TR visa.

what is the cheapest way(by bus).

i have no clue how it works for you there.

If you could clarify what exactly you are looking for then I'm sure you will get some good advice here.

Why do you need at TR Visa?

You are not leaving Thailand, so you use the visa you already have.

As much as some would prefer it to be otherwise, Phuket is in Thailand. There is no need for any special paperwork or documents. Cost of living is a bit higher so suggest a few extra Baht in your budget planning.

I suspect he is asking about obtaining a new tourist visa. It would be the same as from anywhere - you leave Thailand to apply at a Consulate and return. Penang normally will not issue if you have extended for 30 days on your current entry. KL will often issue a 2 entry. PP will also at times using a service.

If you are just asking what border to cross/return Rayong seems to be normal from Phuket.

most people on non immigrant 1 year visas head to Rayong every 90 days, 4 hours each way but no visa available unless u want the free arrival ( only 15 days) Plenty of companies offer the trip for around 1,800 baht r/t

If ur travelling overland by road

The best and easiest is Kota Bahru on the east coast. They also have companies offering the trip and hotel for ya. Seems they will issue u as many tourist visas as u wish but never more than one at a time :-)

Flying, plenty of cheap flights to Singapore (1,800 each way)

and KL (from 1,500 each way)

If ur adventerous you can fly to anywhere as all countries have thai embassies

It's Ranong, Rayong is south east of Pattaya and not on a border :)

Why do we continue to play these guessing games with people here at Thai Visa

If they can't ask a question without supplying the correct information or use their own abbreviations like TR, why waste the time ?

Or is it just that people here are so desperate for something to do that answering nonsensical questions is their only activity ?

I can't think of any greater desperation than someone complaining about another because he didn't ask his question to his satisfaction!

People know what they know or are told, they go with the information they have and try to expand on it and and seek clarification from that starting point. In the case of the OP he was obviously told or believed he need a "TR" visa, it's difficult to belittle him/her simply because he/she misunderstood or was misinformed, don't you think.

No visa required but travel by land is still not recommended as access would require travel in southern provinces of Thailand. Few recent reports so not sure of timing but remember they will be closed on Friday/Saturdays.

You might want to read the above recent report.
