October 17, 201015 yr Seven injured in bike-bomb explosion in eastern Colombia 2010-10-17 10:59:56 GMT+7 (ICT) BOGOTA, COLOMBIA (BNO NEWS) -- Seven people, including four soldiers and two minors, were injured on Saturday after the explosion of a bicycle-borne bomb in the Colombian town of Tame, near the border with Venezuela, the military said. The Colombian Defense Ministry said the explosion in the department of Arauca occurred around 10:12 a.m. local time (1512 GMT). The bicycle was left inside a house and was detonated when the military personnel was passing by. Four soldiers, two children and a 45 years old civilian were wounded. "We deplore this terrorist attack caused by the FARC against civilians. We will denounce these acts to the national and international bodies, because they represent a clear violation of human rights," the military said. At least one of the soldiers was transferred by helicopter to Bogota as he was reportedly in serious condition.
