Does anyone know where this island is?

In 2006, my wife and I visited it, but neither of us can remember the name nor location. We took a speed boat day trip from Phuket. This island was the first stop, then Phi Phi was the second stop.

There didn't seem to be much in the form of development on this island. The sand was really nice and the water was really clear.

I know it is not Koh Poda, Koh Hong, Tub Island or, Chicken Island. Well, that last one I'm not so sure about. When I lived in Krabi, they claimed, and Google Maps agrees, that Chicken Island is very near Poda. I've been to those islands more than once, and I know the island my wife and I visited wasn't that Chicken Island. However, when I search Google I find this http://www.flickr.com/photos/26931849@N04/4310984860/ . This looks to be the island my wife and I visited, however, they are claiming it is Chicken Island.

Anyone know where the island in my pictures and that on Flikcr is located?

Thanks.

The island on the pictures published via flickr is NOT chicken island.

Koh Yao (east of Phuket)?

Sorry, just checked your pic, a small islet. There's several off the south coast of Phuket (such as Koh Bon, He, Kaew) which you can see from the beaches around Chalong/Rawai, one of which is known for its fancy resort. Was it a near-shore island?

Okay...I finally found the island on Google maps. It doesn't have a name on Google Maps, but I believe it is Koh Khai Nok. Khai vs Gai, I can understand why someone would think it was chicken.

Dave.

Glad you figured it out yourself. Thailand has so many places like that it would be almost impossible to list them all. And, if the photo is taken from a different perspective it can look like an entirely different place.

Yes, this is for sure Koh Kai Nok. I have been there many times.
