Visa On Arrival And Re-Entry Permits

Featured Replies

Hi,

I will be coming to Thailand soon and then going to Singapore before returning to Thailand then going back home.

The whole trip will be 2 weeks.

I intend to get a visa on arrival (or visa exempt??) in Thailand - then i think that i need to go to the immigration department in BKK to get a re-entry permit before i go to Singapore.

Can someone confirm that this is correct and that re-entry permits are valid for use with visa on arrival?

Thanks

Citizens of most counties get a Visa Exempt Entry of 30 days, each time, on arrival in Thailand by air.

You do not mention your nationality, but assuming you are eligible you do not need to purchase a re-entry permit in Thailand as you will automatically get a new 30 day entry on your return to Thailand from Singapore.

Note that you should carry evidence (e.g. e-ticket) of onward travel at a date within 30 days of your arrival in Thailand.

Thanks for that.

I'm British.

Is it not a problem that i will have two visas in a 2 week period?

I thought they had a rule not allowing that for some reason.

As a British Citizen, you are eligible for a 30 Day Visa Exempt Entry; two visits in two weeks is no problem, but you must be able to demonstrate your onward travel within 30 days.

No problem whatsoever. No immigration rule against it.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
