LIMA, PERU (BNO NEWS) -- A Peruvian Catholic priest was filmed in bed with one of his employees in his church, located in the northern region of the country, local media reported Friday.

Catholic priest Jose Antonio Bohuytron Solano, who is in charge of Medalla Milagrosa (Miraculous Medallion), a Catholic church in Trujillo, Peru located about 570 kilometers (354 miles) north of Peru's capital, Lima, was accompanied by a woman to the church, but they were followed and filmed by her husband.

The low quality film follows the couple into the church and shows Solano and Teodolinda Amaya, the church's cleaning lady, nud_e and in bed. Amaya's husband, Alfonso Pucila Polo, after recording a couple of seconds of them having sex, interrupts their actions.

Pucila Polo's voice is heard questioning the incident in evident shock and disbelief: "How did this happen? How can you be fooling my children saying my wife is cleaning the church?

"This has been a trap," the priest says. "Calm down."

"I will never calm down," Pucila Polo yells as his agitation increases. "My wife is with you, a priest!"

"I acknowledge my guilt," Solano replies. "I have fallen into a trap."

Amaya, mother of three with Pucila Polo, is currently four months pregnant and claims the baby is Solano's. While she says she had been forced into having sexual relations with him for over a year, the priest claims the situation has been an act of vengeance for not paying an amount of money that Amaya requested.

After 15 years as an employee to the church, Amaya was fired following the incident, which was recorded on September 14, but recently made it to the media. Solano has stated to be willing to take a DNA test to prove that the baby is not his.

The Catholic Church, through Trujillo's Archbishop, suspended Bohuytron Solano, even though he had initially denied having any knowledge regarding the incident. However, the video spread quickly through Internet websites and even local TV networks.

The Church has also begun an investigation to clarify further details.
