Need help! Me and my thai wife and a little one are driving down to Phuket in December from Chiang Mai and we are looking to rent house/bungalow/apartment

I know to rent near any the beaches would be more than I want to pay so we do not mind staying in the town. Can any suggest a place or person?

Looking to stay only 2 Months.Will be using it more as a base for our gear while we do more travelling further south as we need to visit Ko Lanta where we have a bar and friends to visit.
