Technology In Thailand

I know many believe Thailand is technologically backward but you will be surprised at what is out there. Thought a topic on member's encounters with interesting technology seen in Thailand would interest some. Working at a research lab I have the opportunity to work with and see some of this technology.

My first one is of a linear electron beam particle accelerator used for Tera hertz imaging. It's used to see inside materials without the damaging effects of x-rays. Canon Powershot S5 IS

Another machine we have - 450 kilovolt ion beam accelerator for neutron generation. Some uses are the detection of explosives such as found in land mines. Konica Minolta Dimage A200

Fascinating shots and good to see what is happening in LOS.

Isn't the second one a bit big to take out in the field looking for mines???
