Bluebear; what is their argument as to why you can not receive it?  Work permit? Salary level? or what?

usual story with credit card applications. they gave no reason, just a standard "unable to approve your application at this time....". but had a WP for 2 years and salary should have been ok, main job is just under but do privates which takes me over.

An agent told me to make monthly transfers into my bank book from abroad (normally use a debit card) "simulating" an income for at least 3 months which can then be used in the application.

Firefan,

Are you, then, using your debit card(s) to directly transfer money from abroad to your Thai bank? Sure sounds like it, and this has been a running discussion on this forum for quite awhile........

If so, what's your Thai bank? And what are the procedures, limits, and fees?

Thanx.

No; I meant that I simply pull cash from ATMs here with my foreign based debit (Visa) card.

Problem is that same does not leave a mark in my BKK Bank book - so a foreign wire transfer in will be better.

Sorry if was unclear. Cheers!
