Wind Turbine In Rawai...

Whats up with the wind turbine in Rawai its been gone now for a couple of months....????

down for repairs or down for good...???

just wondering... :ermm:

I had noticed that too. The two smaller ones have been down for even longer. It's kind of the the tsunami buoy, it breaks and they can't fix it. But you would think with the Baht being so high, they could afford to bring in someone to fix them. I am trying to avoid saying the obvious... shock1.gif

I heard the previous governor said it was a eyesore and should be removed to preserve the beauty of Promthep cape.

It was around the time when they were talking about the palm replanting project at the cape.

That government electric centre or whatever they do there should be moved out of there and create a great lookout.

I would have to agree with him, it was ugly. I guess we'll know if they take down the tower it was on as well. The smaller ones were quite noisyl... I go up there often. But then it gets crowded around sunset and I have to go down to Ya Nui for some quiet to watch the sunset.

I thought it was ugly as well and heard it was a king sponsored project from the start, so it must be very difficult to get it shut down for some other use...

maybe make a nice pool villa hotel complex up there, we need more of those....lol
