I am tired of receiving other people's underwear, missing garments, bleached colors and not at least all the wasted money I spend at my laundry. I want a washing machine, but the ingenious designers of my bathroom made the space for it to low (for a standard one). I have looked many places, but found nothing that I can use. Must be a front loader and not more than 72 cm tall. If anyone knows a place to get one, I would really appreciate to hear about it.

Many appliances tend to be size-standardized. Most front-loaders seem to be 85 cm (33 ") tall.

You can check PowerBuy; they have dimensions for most models.

Not sure you want a 2 Kg machine; you'll be washing all day, every day.

Find a quality laundry...one with professional washing and drying machines...not the corner laundry shops. Never had a problem with one of them and not really much more expensive than the other places.

Thanks for the reply. Brings back memories... Looks like something similar to the washing machine I had the first place I ever staid in in Thailand. Was basically just a water tank with an arm that spun around controlled by a mechanical "wind-up" timer. I had to manually fill up the water to an indicated level and empty it by opening a drain when finished. Did not even have capabilities to heat the water. Also that one had two programs which where just two different speeds of rotation. But at 2900B, I guess I cant complain :)

Exactly. All the models at Powerbuy, Tesco etc. are 85 cm tall. On most it is possible to remove the top plate, and get them down to 81 cm. Still 9 cm to tall to fit. Looks like the laundry will keep this customer...
