Passport Size Photo

Featured Replies

I need a couple of passport style photos done...Does anyone know of any photo machines or a place where they do them? Thanks.

Go to Chiang Mai Plaza hotel (on your right coming from Changklan Rd) and on the left you will see a photo shop on the corner.

They do a good job.

Thanks! I will check it out...

Any photo shop will do passport photos. Just look for a shop with a Kodak or Fuji sign, they are all over the place.

If you happen to need the photos for passport or any other immigration issues, you might consider getting the photos done right there at the Immigration Department. Cheap enough.

Cheers.

As a side note to the OP; I recently had passport photos done here in Phuket. They strictly needed to be a specific size as required by the (US) embassy, 2" by 2" with my head taking up a specific size as well (I think it was 1 1/8"). I originally thought I'd never get them to understand how exact the size had to be. But I found a shop that had a pretty sophisticated computer controlled printer. With my help, the gal was able to size and crop my photo to the exact measurements I needed.

So, it can be done. And done correctly, even if you need to 'oversee' the operation to be sure. And the computer allowed her to specify the size in metric or inches, which was a big help!

Passport photos can be a real pain for the United Kingdom as the requirement is in metric, and all the photo shops here use imperial measurements. You will need to explain that to them.
