Look up the websites for Gulf air/Emirates/Etihad/Qatar etc. Most International airlines require a minimum GCSE level of education, height 5'3" with weight in proportion, ability to swim atleast 50 metres and if you can speak more than one language it's also a plus.

You will find it next to impossible to get a job with Thai as they will usually take on their own nationals..it is much easier with the airlines I have mentioned above but bear in mind you will be based in the in U.A.E.

Many moons ago I was a flight attendent and was based in Saudi Arabia. I had a whale of a time out there.

Thankyou . I might aswell study because I have a whole load of time ahead of me before I turn 20. I'm not even 18 yet. Oh and at the international college do I have to wear uniform?

They also have crossover programmes so that you can train to be Flight Crew in due course.

Competition is intense in Asia and diverse Asian language skills are required for the local flag carriers.

When I lived in Jakarta, an open day for prospective Cabin Crew was held in the Shangri-La. Thousands of applicants showed up....presumably a lot failed simply for being shortarses.

I know slightly off topic, but what the h*ll, went well off topic last night.

I just noticed that the Ads by Google bar at the top and down the side are all to do with Airline jobs.

How do they do that? Do they have someone scanning the topics and sticking in relevant adverts?

I think Google ad detects the words at the top of the page you are loading - 'So I Want To Be A Flight Attendant', analyzes the relevant words, in this case 'flight attendant', and delivers ads from its ad database, that has listed the words 'flight attendant' when applying for adspace.

Only a guess though, someone here might actually know the truth...
