Mortgage Insurance

Does anyone know if it is possible for farang to get mortgage insurance here. The only company I have found which offers this is AIA but I have had bad experience with this company and wonder if there are others. Thank you.

Usually the bank that gives the mortgage would also offer mortgage insurance. have you asked the bank?

PS. I thought only Bangkok Bank gives mortgages to foreigners via Singapore(pretty complicated procedure)

Thank you for reply. Actually I am not even borrowing money. another farang owns house and I am paying him monthly until it is paid off in full.

OK now I am confused, You dont have a mortage, Its very unlikely you would get a mortage in your name via a Thai bank, expect as pointed out above, so why do you need insurance then ?
