boloa
Can you change from a retirement visa to a marriage visa at the local Immigration office or do you have to go to a Thai consulate out -side Thailand and get a 3 month marriage visa first and then get this extended ? Thanks Boloa
Mario2008
You would not change your visa, but the reason for your extension of stay. Yes, you can do that. As the reason for extension of stay you simply fill in to stay with you Thai wife and give the documents required for that. You need to show less money, but it will be much more work for you and immigration if you opt for an extension of stay based on marriage. If you have a choice, stay with retirement.
