I'm in the process of filling out the app form on-line and I'm at the part;

Part 4 > Your Family > Dependant Child(2)

It's asking for Child's passport number but this child has no passport and won't be

travelling with us, and the screen won't let me carry on to the next page as it says

'required field'.

Any advice on what to do please?

I can't get into the online system without making an actual application!

However, the paper form only asks for these details if the child will be traveling too. Are you sure that there is not a question along these lines on the online form?

The 1st question about children says 'Do you have any dependant children?'

I ticked yes, then asks how many? I ticked 2. The 1st child will be travelling

with us, so I filled in passport number. But on the next screen 'Part 4 > Your Family > Dependant Child(2)'

the child will not be travelling with us and does not have a passport. So I can not enter anything,

but the field must be filled?

I presume there is somewhere on the form for any other information. If so, could you enter the passport number as all zeroes (or some other clearly 'null' number) and explain that you entered that to indicate the absence of an irrelevant passport? I appreciate you may be nervous about treating a question with the respect it deserves.

Thanks for your reply, yes I have entered a zero in the field and will ask

my wife to mention it when she has her appointment.
