kevkev1888
No. The Thais don't celebrate Christmas. Some of the bigger stores malls etc try and cash in on it. The bars etc may put up a tree, many places will do a Christmas dinner at an exorbitant price. Quit frankly it's bliss to me, Christmas is way overdone and too commercial where I am from in the UK. But if you want the full Yuletide experience I would suggest if you go to one of the big 5 star hotels you may find what you are looking for. Otherwise just wait for New Years that certainly goes off with a BANG in Pattaya.

smokie36
You'll find lots of Santa's little elves have finished their quota of toys for the year and have arrived for a vacation around Walking Street. A real Christmas treat!
Theo007
Well, you can always go to church! You would be very welcome to join the St. George's Anglican congregation for the 11 am Service in North Pattaya!

gk10002000
I always enjoyed a quiet Buffet at the LEK hotel. They served real turkeys, you know, the actual bird carcass on the station with drumsticks and all. not some pre-processed turkey loaf. Add to that some beef, shrimp skewers and all the regular Thai buffet items, I found it quiet nice. If it is warm night, you are sitting in their back section which is open air. I liked it because it is relatively quiet, fresh air, warm, no snow, no ice. As one other poster said, the commercialism and headaches of Christmas are a bit tiring in the West (USA). I really enjoy being in Thailand during Xmas. The lights are nice, the weather is nice, the girls are nice.

gk10002000
Nope nothing worth coming to Thailand for at Xmas. I laughed all day after I read your post. Thanks. I have one photo from one of my trips of one of the bars showing literally 12 girls sitting inside it all in red. It was a slow night and not one customer. We were otherwise engaged so we could not offer much assistance. Nope. nothing worth coming to Thailand for at Xmas. Ha ha
Danlo
A few places actually quite a few Bars try to use the commercial crap they use in UK to squeeze an extra $ out of you but for me xmas in Thailand is great as they dont do Christmas, a few fireworks over the new yr thats all thankfully.
