I've currently used one entry and extended a double entry 60 day Tourist Visa obtained in Vientiane. This is my second 60 day Tourist Visa and the enter before date is 29 Dec. I'm going to be doing a Visa run in the next week or two to get a NON B. I've read about Penang not giving 60 Tourist Visa's if you extended the last one. Assuming I've all the other paperwork is in order of course, does any one know if a 90 day NON B would be a problem with current Penang rules? I can always go to KL but Penang would be faster and less expensive.

If a single entry non Immigrant B visa do not believe the tourist visa problems would be an issue but they do not have a recent track record to inspire much confidence. I would try but be prepared to go onward to KL if an issue. You might also want to correspond with one of the visa sources there for there read on current conditions.
