Gold -- Residents may hold and trade domestically in gold jewelery, gold

coins and gold bullion. The import and export of gold other than

jewelery has recently been deregulated.

No mention of waiting until there is 'blood on the streets'.

just attach your bullion to a gold chains, wear around your neck and proceed to the airport security check point. Then count your bars after passing through.

There is no restriction, but be ware, what ever country you enter, can charge you duty if the gold is NOT in the form of legal tender coins.

Pakistani and Indian customs care a sh... whether your gold coins are legal tender or not.

That's misleading in the extreme, you could argue all day on what is legal tender gold / silver coins and what isn't.
