Lol, did i ask why Thai females used this term? Your reason maybe, but certainly not a definitive answer!

When some posters have nothing good to say, it's better to say nothing at all.

As this topic is likely to provoke controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response, I think it is better to close this one.

But surely it follows that if this term for female is in frequent regular use in Thailand by Tai people speaking English the term may well be adopted by visitors to make themselves easily understood........

Lanna, why do you immediately go on the defensive? I'm honestly not lookink for an already formed answer.

Ok, Thai females call themselves ladies, thats absolutely fine. But my question was why western men use this term? Are you implying we/they are all maleable and submissive and therefore lose our own use of language when here?
