I am a Sri Lanka who is here on a Tourist Visa for 2 months. During this time I need to travel out of Thailand and return during the month of Dec. Can i get a re-entry permit and what is the process i should follow?

Visit your local immigration office, you will need a photograph and 1000 Baht (single re-entry). The forms etc are at the immigration office.

It is important to note that the re-entry permit only protects your current permit to stay, it does not give any additional time so when you come back you'll be stamped to the same date as you are currently.

HI,

Thanks for the info... one question: when you say local immigration office do u mean the new location of the Immig bureau in Chaengwattana?

Depends where you're living, although I believe that since it's a tourist visa you can go to any immigration office. The smaller offices are often more friendly / less busy than the main place.
