A friend of a friend is currently cycling round the world (not a record attempt, just an amazing adventure) and will be arriving in Bangkok around February 2011. Can anyone recommend a cheap place to stay where his bike will be safe?

That's all I know I'm afraid. I agree with you about the fascination. I've replied to my friend asking for some more details, I'll post them on here when I know more. And to think how impressed I was with myself when I did London to the Isle of Skye...

Alot of cyclists pedaling thru Bkk stay in the Khao Sarn area. Lot's of cheap accomodations and they let store your bike for you overnight.
